Northfield Leisure Centre Up For National Award
Northfield Leisure Centre is delighted to be in the running for a prestigious ukactive Award, having been named as finalists in the annual event which celebrates excellence in the physical activity sector.
We have been shortlisted in the Club/Centre of the Year category for the Midlands region with the winner being selected by a ukactive panel.
This year, the awards ceremony will be held on October 26th in Leeds, at the New Dock Hall within the Leeds Royal Armouries.
Elsewhere, our sister site, Ladywood Leisure Centre, has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion award, which they won in 2022.
Jack Pyatt, Partnership Manager for the Birmingham Community Leisure Trust said: “I am very proud to see two of our centres making the final at this major industry event, which showcases all that’s positive across the physical activity sector.
“In both categories, we are up against some excellent leisure facilities, but I wouldn’t swap our two centres for any of the opposition. Fingers crossed for October!”
Dave Candler, CEO of STA, the headline sponsor for the ukactive Awards, said:
“This year’s finalists have all shown true innovation and creativity in what has been a difficult time for the industry.
“Their achievements and what they have done to help promote and advance the physical activity agenda is incredible, and we look forward to congratulating each and every one at this year’s awards ceremony.”
