Centre Information – Birmingham 2022
Wyndley Leisure Centre is one of the proud training venues for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and we will be hosting the hockey teams, para triathletes and triathletes. We are supporting the Birmingham 2022 Games, which means there will be some temporary changes impacting customers during this period.
Be aware that due to the athletes being onsite there will be additional staff such as security guards and games marshals in and around the centre.
Temporary changes will come into effect from Friday 15th July 2022 until Tuesday 9th August 2022. Please review the information below detailing the changes.
• Dates: Sunday 17th July - Tuesday 9th August - Male Changing Rooms Closed - Sports Hall
Customer information: Please arrive gym ready. This also impacts access to lockers in the male changing room. Shower and changing facilities are available at the swimming pool.
• Dates: Friday 22nd July - Sunday 31st July - Deep Water Lanes - Restricted Access
Customer information: Check timetable for availability. Members who have swimming lessons which have been impacted by this will have been notified.
• Dates: Wednesday 27th July - Sunday 31st July - Swimming Pool Car Park closed to customers
Customer information: Only parking for Disability Pass Holders in the disability spaces during this period.
• Dates: Friday 15th July - Tuesday 9th August - Car Park
Customer information: The car park will be very busy during this period.
• Dates: Sunday 17th July - Tuesday 9th August - Female Changing Rooms - Sports Hall
Customer information: There could be potential disruption to female changing rooms. We advise to come gym ready. We will endeavour to provide customers with as much notice as possible.
• Dates: Thursday 21st July - Tuesday 9th August - Studio 4 - Closed
Customer information: Spin classes will be relocated to Studio 1.
• Dates: Wednesday 20th July - Tuesday 9th August - Athletics track - Closed
Customer information: No access or bookings during this period.
• Dates: Friday 15th July - Tuesday 9th August – Football and Hockey pitches - Closed
Customer information: No access or bookings during this period.
There will be road closures around Sutton Park between Friday 29th July and Sunday 31st July. Please visit the Commonwealth Games website for more information.
