Activities such as White Water Rafting take place on a different body of water and are not impacted. 

These are some questions that have been asked regarding how Gloworm Festival may affect your visit to Holme Pierrepont Country Park.
 During the Gloworm Festival, there will be several changes and restrictions in place affecting the Country Park, Gym, White Water Members, and Activity Bookers. Please read the following information carefully to understand how these changes may impact your visit.

 

 

Will I still be able to gain access to the site?

Throughout the week of the build, and the weekend itself, there will be restricted access to many parts of the Country Park.

Monday 12th August – Thursday 15th August: Parking will be limited in the Country Park and activity car parks - please follow signage which will be on Regatta Way.

Friday 16th August – Sunday 18th August - No access to the Country Park and activity car parks.

Monday 12th August – Thursday 15th August - Walking routes around the country park: The route around the lake is open for walking but will be in use by several transport vehicles and general traffic. Please see signage and follow directions

· Friday 16th August – Sunday 18th August: Certain areas of the park will not be accessible

Will I still be able to go to the gym?

There is currently no plans to change access to the gym facilities or to change your usual journey to and from site.

Can I still park on-site?

Your journey or parking should not be affected. If this was to change, overflow parking will be available. Please follow the signage which will be on site.

I'm booked on Activities during Gloworm - what do I do?

For customers that are booked onto Activities between Monday 12th August, until Thursday 15th August, activities will proceed as normal, but you may be diverted to other car parks. Please leave plenty of time for this. Please be aware of ANPR cameras and associated prices.

Can I still access the public footpath?

The Holme Pierrepont Country Park public footpath will be closed from Monday 12th August, until Thursday 16th August.

I'm a White Water member - when can I paddle?

We have a number of sessions available across the weekend so you can still enjoy your membership with us. These sessions are running;

Friday 16th August: 10:30am - 12pm, 12pm - 1:30pm, 1:30pm - 3pm, 3pm - 4:30pm

Saturday 17th August - 6pm - 7:30pm, 7:30pm - 9pm

Sunday 18th August - 6pm - 7:30pm, 7:30pm - 9pm

I'm a White Water member - how do I access the course?

From Monday 12th – Thursday 15th - your approach will be different, so please leave plenty of time.

On Friday 16th August, you may be stopped and must state that you are a White Water member to gain access (show email confirmation).

Please book your sessions in advance. Normal opening times apply on Friday, but the White Water will be closed at 5pm. Saturday – Sunday - book sessions where possible. An alternative route will be provided to access the parking area.
