Join us for the new Paddle UK Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Course. This is a new course for 2023 and will replace the old FSRT.
A relaxed and fun day on the water learning the latest in safety and rescue techniques for the sheltered water environment.
On this course you will be introduced to a wide range of rescues to help keep you and others safe and dry in sheltered water.
This course is a prerequisite for anyone looking to attend a Paddlesport Instructor course.
We promise that you will go away with the skills you need to rescue Kayaks, SUPs and Sit on Tops from your choice of craft and having had fun whilst developing new skills!
What you need to bring:
- Suitable clothing for spending the day in the water, including a wet/dry suit with thermal layers
- Suitable footwear
- Clothing layers
- Towel and shower things
- Lunch and any snacks
- Hot Drink
- Full change of clothes
What we advise you bring (can be provided if necessary):
- A Suitable craft (Kayak, Sit on Top, Canoe or SUP)
- Helmet
- Paddle
- Buoyancy Aid
