We are proud to support local, national and international clubs with world-class facilities to support all their training needs, from beginners through to elite athletes.
Paddle UK
As a national centre for water sports, we are proud to be the home of the Paddle UK; the national governing body for canoeing and kayaking in the UK.
We have some of the top Team GB canoeists from the Olympic and Paralympic squads training here, including gold medallists from Rio 2016. We are also the hosts for a number of British Canoeing’s flatwater racing regattas and white water events.
GB Rowing Team Start Programme
Here at the National Water Sports Centre, we are home to GB Rowing’s Talent programme testing camps.
This talent identification programme was created with the aim to build the future of the GB Rowing Team by identifying and developing potential Olympians. The programme’s most recent successes have been at the London 2012 Olympic Games, with almost a third of the Team GB Rowers having come through the programme.
We also host a number of rowing events that include a high proportion of the GB Rowing Team competing on-site; these include the British Rowing Junior and Senior Championships, British Rowing Master Championships and the BUCS Regatta.
